Lashbrook Designs is a premier ring designer in Orem, UT and was one of the first companies to make Titanium Rings in the USA. Lashbrook now works with a wide range of alternative and precious metals. Lashbrook designs specializes in custom wedding rings. We have been working with Lashbrook designs for over 10 years and their rings are both stunning and durable.

Alternative Metals:

Titanium: Titanium is the strongest metallic element by weight, so it’s only fitting that it be used to symbolize such an unbreakable love. Lashbrook Designs uses the aerospace grade alloy Ti6AL4V for titanium rings – an alloy that is more expensive and harder to work with but is much stronger than pure titanium.

Black Zirconium: In its natural state, zirconium is a silver-grey color. It earns its stark black appearance through our proprietary heating process, in which a layer of hard black oxide grows on the metal. This black layer is much harder than raw zirconium, but it is very thin. Unlike oxidized silver and black rhodium, this layer does not rub off over time. It is also more durable than black-coated rings, such as black titanium and black tungsten.

Our zirconium rings are made using this same high-tech Zirconium alloy, which is comprised primarily of zirconium with a few trace elements. These unique combinations of metals make zirconium rings a perfect option for those with nickel and precious metal allergies and sensitivities.

Cobalt Chrome: Cobalt chrome is often used specifically for its strength in applications with high temperatures, such as jet engine turbines. Cobalt Chrome is often used in orthopedic applications and cardiovascular stents. Cobalt Chrome does have trace amounts of nickel so is not hypoallergenic.

Cobalt chrome is a bright white metal with a brilliant luster. This metal’s weight is similar to precious metals, but many times harder and more durable.

Cobalt chrome rings are an ideal choice for both classic wedding bands and complex custom designs. Cobalt chrome is a very versatile metals and is often chosen for that reason. Camo, meteorite, carbon fiber, hardwood, precious metal inlays, mosaics and custom designs can be incorporated to create a truly unique, one-of-a-kind wedding ring. See Lashbrook Designs Cobalt Chrome Wedding Rings.

Damascus Steel: Lashbrook Designs make Damascus steel rings by hand, mimicking ancient metalsmithing techniques originally used to make samurai swords. Using two alternating types of stainless steel, our master craftsman heat, bond, twist and fold the metal layers together to produce vivid patterns.

After patterning the metal, there can be up to 100 layers in each piece of finished Damascus. Each Damascus steel ring is unique – no two designs will look exactly alike.

Damascus Steel is available in several patterns, Standard, basketweave, tiger, zebra, flattwist, woodgrain, marble and sunset. Damascus steel does have trace amounts of nickel so would not be a good candidate for those with metal allergies. Damascus steel rings are very hard and durable with some customization available. Lashbrook produces styles incorporating Damascus steel in and with contemporary metals, precious metals, and combinations of the two. Damascus can be inlaid in the center of a ring or off-center and in the sleeve of a band. See Lashbrook Designs Damascus Steel Rings.

Tantalum: Tantalum is a beautiful gray color with a hint of blue. It’s that great gun-metal tone that’s darker than titanium but not black like zirconium. It is quite dense, with a weight similar to platinum. While many alternative metals create difficulties with resizing, tantalum is quite malleable and easily resized up to one size depending on customization. Tantalum is hypoallergenic, and will not corrode or react with exposure to everyday use or chemicals.

Tantalum rings have many options for design, style, and are customizable. These rings can be customized with various inlays, gems and carved designs. Interior Sleeves can also be added
